Madelainartz was founded by Madelaina Murthwaite. The Artist and Director of The Gallery, Liverpool’s Best Kept Secret, Clayton Square, Shopping Centre, Liverpool. She prides herself on exhibiting her own celebrity portraits; supporting local artists and raising awareness of the chronic pain syndrome Fibromyalgia! The Gallery has an informal feel to it and is one of its kinds! It abolishes stereotypical pretensions of other galleries and therefore makes art accessible to the whole community. With an L1 postcode it is a hotspot for all visitors to the city! During the day Madelaina can be seen exposing her skills as she paints in the window and has adopted the moniker of ‘The Naked Artist!’

Each month the window will change and this year The Gallery celebrated the New Year with its Debut Open Exhibition: Mad About Liverpool 2010! A stunning exhibition incorporating the talent of 23 local artists and discovering the hidden talents of Joshua Henderson, Lee Mc Carthy and Matthew Reekie, names to watch in the future! Madelaina revealed her latest celebrity portrait and much awaited interpretation of the Liverpool Striker Mr Fernando Torres!

Madelaina is looking forward to hosting many functions and events at The Gallery and suggests new businesses who find corporate rates exuberant to contact her! The Gallery is in a prime location and having the backdrop of exquisite artwork only adds to the great experience!

Music is another passion of Madelaina’s and this coming spring The Gallery will combine these two means of expression when some of Liverpool’s finest raw talent deliver their melodies! The exhibition: Mad About Music will kick start these music afternoons in late March.

On 14th January 2010, Madelaina became host to the beautifully hand crafted Mankey Monkey: ‘Fibro!’ This little chap has caused quite a stir since making a new home for himself at The Gallery! Many visitors wanting to capture themselves with the lovely monkey in all sorts of inventive poses! ‘Fibro!’ who represents the chronic pain syndrome Fibromyalgia, is the phenonmenal creation of the stupendous entrepreneurs from Hallangen Art!
